About Us

Earl Bell first opened the doors of Bell Athletics in December of 1991. Since then, Earl has coached multiple Olympians including Jeff Hartwig, Chad Harting, Derek Miles, Jeremy Scott, Becky Holilday, Jillian Schwartz, Yoo Suk Kim, and Kellie Suttle. We also offer weekend camps for any and all athletes, regardless of skill level.

Not only is Earl one of the greatest pole vault coaches ever, he was also one of the greatest pole vaulters ever. In 1976, Earl set the world record as a junior in college at Arkansas State University with a jump of 18'7"/5.67m. He was also a 3-time Olympian (1976, 1984, and 1988) and in 1984, Earl was Olympic Bronze Medalist. His lifetime best is 5.87m/19'3".
